Welcome to Chinese Journal of Aeronautics, the international and peer-reviewed journal of aerospace engineering.
Chinese Journal of Aeronautics (CJA) is a comprehensive bimonthly journal dealing with the fields of aeronautics and astronautics. The scope of the journal is considerably wide, including fluid mechanics and flight mechanics, solid mechanics and vehicle conceptual design, avionics and autocontrol, material engineering and mechanical manufacturing.
CJA adopts the international online submission and review system-ScholarOne Manuscripts. Each article in the journal is reviewed by at least two international referees and one associate editor. The journal is indexed in many international databases such as SCIE, EI, IAA, AJ, Elsevier ScienceDirect, Scopus, etc. According to the analyses of some international databases (ScienceDirect, Scopus), the yearly download amount of CJA increases by 63.3%, with more and more downloads from Europe and America, which implies that CJA’s international influence is expanding.
CJA was founded in 1988 and is sponsored by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (CSAA) as well as Beihang University. Its publisher is Elsevier.
Xiaofeng Sun, Beihang University, China
Xiaofeng Sun is a professor of Aerospace Engineering at the Beihang University (BUAA) where he directs the Fluid and Acoustic Engineering Laboratory.
His principal fields of interest include unsteady flows in turbomachines, vortex dynamics, and aeroacoustics. The work includes experimental, theoretical, and computational investigations into vortex sound interactions, flow stabilities in compressors, control of blade flutter, and acoustic design of aeroengine nacelles as well as various strategies for fan and compressor noise reduction.
Prof. Sun received his Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering from BUAA in 1988, his M.S. (1985) and B.S. degrees (1982) in Mechanical Engineering from the Shanghai Jiaotong University. He was a visiting research fellow of DLR at the Institute for Experimental Fluid Mechanics in Berlin from 1992 to 1994, a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo in Japan from 1997 to 1998, a visiting professor of The Pennsylvania State University in 2001, and a visiting professor of the Ecole Centrale Lyon in 2008. He has published one book and more than 100 technical papers. He was awarded the National Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholars in 1999.
He is a member of the International Advisory Committee of the Gas Turbine Society of Japan and a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics. Currently, he is an endowed chair professor sponsored by the Cheung Kong Scholarship Program, designated by the Ministry of Education of China. Currently, he is a member of the editorial advisory committee of AIAA Journal of Propulsion and Power, and the editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Aeronautics.
